About Donations
Please know: donations for the 2008 Walk can be received up until December 31, 2008;
those for the 2009 Walk begin January 1, 2009.
Information for walkers, sponsors, businesses or anyone interested in making donations regarding our 2009 Out of The Darkness Community Walk:
REMEMBER:
- All checks should be made out to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (in the memo note “Hampton Roads S.O.S. Group").
- The AFSP is a non-profit organization under Section 501©(3) of the IRS Code, so all donations are tax deductible.
- Nearly 84 cents of every dollar goes directly to AFSP's programs of research, education, and treatment.
- Send directly to: AFSP (120 Wall St., 22nd. Floor, New York, New York 10005).
- Donations for the 2009 Walk can be passed on to walkers or handed in at the registration table on Sept. 12th, or sent by mail.
- As a gesture or appreciation, if you raise $150 or more, you will be given a free AFSP Out of the Darkness Community Walk T-Shirt.
