Everyone who is coming to the Walk needs to register whether you are walking, sponsoring a walker, or just planning to participate in being a part of the program.

Registering is important for you!
for the following reasons

  • To get an accurate count of registrants so we can provide for you complimentary food (Chick-fil-A chicken biscuits, Flowers Baking Company pastries, Starbucks, juice, water and Rita's Italian Ice.) We also have mental health information and pamphlets that we can give to you.
  • When you are registered you are officially a part of the Walk, and therefore can be covered under the AFSP insurance coverage.
  • After the Walk , if you are registered you can receive a "Certificate of Participation". Many organizations , military commands or individuals request this verification to acknowledge their community involvement. To receive a certificate, click here.
  • To have an opportunity to receive the handmade crane quilt.
    This is a beautiful gift (not a money-making raffle) that is given in a drawing at the After-Walk picnic.
    You can only receive a quilt ticket if you're registered.

Registration will begin on January 1, 2015

If you are walking to raise money for the AFSP, you are contributing to a very worthwhile cause. As a gesture of AFSP’s appreciation of your donation, if you raise $150 or more, you will receive at the Walk, a free Out of the Darkness Community Walk T-shirt when you turn in what you’ve collected. But, also know, you are welcome just to walk or to share in this time together - - our goals are to prevent suicide, to remember, and to celebrate.
